๐งผ Clean home & body
Book-aligned guidance. The Biblio Diet's logic โ avoid processed, synthetic inputs โ applies to what you put ON your body and around your home, not just what you eat (Ch. 13 essential oils, Ch. 14 healing leaves, plus the book's clean home/body chapters). Several of these DIY recipes (face wash, surface cleaner, tallow salve) come straight from the book; the rest are common clean-living formulas built from the same short list of clean ingredients, clearly labeled as general guidance. You can add the recurring ones (make surface cleaner, make face wash) to your Playbook from the Lifestyle page.
General clean-living guidance, not medical advice. Patch-test any new skin or oral product, dilute essential oils, and stop if irritation occurs. Essential oils can be unsafe for pregnancy, infants, and pets โ check before use.
The recurring ones (surface cleaner, face wash) can be added to your Playbook via Lifestyle. More book remedies live on the Recipes page.

- 1/2 cup liquid castile soap
- 1/4 cup aloe vera gel
- 1 tsp jojoba or olive oil
- 10โ15 drops essential oil (peppermint, lavender, or rosemary)
- Combine in a squeeze or pump bottle; shake to blend.
- Massage a small amount into wet scalp, then rinse well.
- Always follow with the apple-cider/white-vinegar rinse below โ it closes the cuticle so hair isn't frizzy.
General clean-living guidance. Expect a 1โ2 week adjustment period.
Acidic hair rinse
generalWhy: Removes buildup and re-balances scalp pH after castile shampoo, leaving hair smooth and shiny.
- 1 tbsp apple cider or white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1 drop lavender or rosemary oil (optional)
- Mix in a cup. After shampooing, pour over hair and work through.
- Wait 1โ2 minutes, then rinse. The vinegar smell disappears as hair dries.
General clean-living guidance.
Dry shampoo (light/dark)

- Stir together in a small jar.

- Optional: a few drops liquid stevia to soften the salty taste
- Mix into a smooth paste and store in a small jar.

General clean-living guidance.
Oil pulling
book p. Ch. 13Why: Traditional oral practice the book references โ swishing oil to support oral hygiene.

- 1โ2 tbsp jojoba or olive oil (for spreadability)
- 10 drops lavender or frankincense oil (optional)
- For sunscreen: 2 tbsp non-nano zinc oxide (wear a mask while mixing the powder)

- For sunscreen, whisk in the zinc oxide thoroughly; reapply often โ this is not SPF-rated.
From the book (face cream / salve). The sunscreen version is general guidance โ not a tested SPF.
